It's not a guarantee, but if history holds to form, the Texas Legends NBDL team may be dealt a ready-made team.
The Los Angeles D-Fenders are going to take at least a one-year hiatus and if the league continues its past dealings, the roster from the LA team will be forwarded to the Frisco team.
Two years ago, when the Anaheim team folded, the roster was moved to Springfield, Mass.
After the most recent season, the LA D-Fenders decided to take at least a one-year break and it's likely the roster will be relocated to the Legends.
That doesn't mean that there won't be some Maverick draftees placed in Frisco. There most likely will. But it does mean that a roster will be in place before the expansion draft.
And that roster, if it's the one from LA, will be:
7-0 Michael Fey from UCLA, 7-0 Gabriel Hughes from California, 6-6 Ryan Forehan-Kelly from California, 6-8 James Peters from Nevada-Las Vegas, 6-5 Ray Reese from Tulsa, 6-4 Frank Robinson from Cal State-Fullerton, 6-4 Dar Tucker from DePaul, 6-7 Rodney Webb from Florida Atlantic, 6-1 James Wright of Colorado and 5-7 Horace Wormely who didn't attend college.
