Just saw LeBron James, the newly crowned MVP, who was asked about averaging a triple-double for a playoff series, which he came close to doing in the first round.
"I don't know,'' he said. "Oscar (Robertson) set that bar pretty high.''
And then he mentioned Magic Johnson and, of all people, Jason Kidd as guys he thought of when it comes to triple-double greatness.
Hmmmm. Maybe LeBron and J-Kidd together next year isn't as far-fetched as we all think it is.
Anyway, James also said he thought the Spurs were playing as well as anybody left in the playoffs.
"It's not surprising, because they're not a typical seven seed,'' he said. "And I think they're playing extremely well.''
Not that that's any consolation to Maverick fans.
