Jason Kidd finished fifth among guards in voting by NBA coaches for the league's all-defense teams, which were announced an hour or so ago.
The first-team guards were the Lakers' Kobe Bryant and Celtics' Rajon Rondo.
Second-team guards were Oklahoma City's Thabo Sefalosha and Miami's Dwyane Wade.
No quibbles with any of those, by the way.
Kidd finished with 12 overall points in the voting, two fewer than Sefalosha and tied for most with Marcus Camby among all the players receiving votes who didn't make the first or second teams.

is this a joke? Kidd can't defend half the point guards in the league. I can see him getting certain accolades, but an all-defense team is a joke.
