The Mavericks got the Dominique Jones pick for cash
considerations.
That means they didn’t have to give up any future
first-round picks and the going rate could not have been more than $3 million,
which is the NBA limit for cash to be included in any transaction. A source
said the 25th overall pick was strictly a cash purchase.
Meanwhile, another source said that the Mavericks still are
working to make something else happen. They may yet move up in the second round
or trade out of it completely. They still own the 50th overall pick.
