Fans don’t have to worry about the Mavericks getting
happy feet and dealing young franchise stalwart Roddy Beaubois.
President Donnie Nelson said moments ago that the soon-to-be
second-year player has been the subject of lots of phone calls from other
teams. But the Mavericks will not be tempted, he said.
““We had a lot of interest and Roddy’s not
going anywhere,’’ Nelson said. “We like him right where he
is. We’ve had some unusually, very attractive offers for
Roddy.’’
You have to wonder how attractive an offer would have to be
before it gives the Mavericks reason to pause.
We’ll probably never know.
Draft starts in about 45 minutes and the Mavericks aren’t
budging off of No. 50, it appears.
