Mark Cuban said only that he’s been contacted with
regard to the sale of the Rangers.
“I can’t say anything else,’’ he
said.
Cuban has long said he was not interested in owning the
Rangers, but If he senses a good business opportunity, that feeling could
always change. He attempted to buy the Chicago Cubs a couple years ago, but he
lost out in the bidding even though his offer was believed to be very
competitive.
The Rangers, of course, are in the middle of a protracted
sale by Tom Hicks. Hicks also owns the Stars, who share the American Airlines
Center with Cuban.
