Gerald Green had only a brief stay with the Mavericks in
2008-09, and it wasn’t a real memorable tenure.
But it was a heck of a lot better than his 2009-10 season.
The high-leaping Green played in Russia, where he learned
that they may have the same things over there that they have here, but there
just a little different. Such as …
“They don’t know how to cut hair over there,’’
he said, which was why he’d let his hair grow out and had it braided
during summer-league play.
Green stopped by to say hello to the Mavericks’
coaches after the Lakers’ game Saturday.
“Russia was OK,’’ he said. “But the
food is different. They have these shishkabobs, which were fine. And pancakes
and chicken. But their seasoning is way different.’’
As in, there isn’t any.
While Green had a good time in Russia, he has every intention
of playing on this continent next season.
