LeBron
James did not shock the basketball world Thursday night. He didn’t
announce that he would only play for the Mavericks.
Instead,
he did what most people suspected he would do: he joined the made-for-dynasty
team in Miami, becoming little more than a hired gun as he joined Dwyane Wade
and Chris Bosh to form a three-pronged foundation for the Heat.
Left
to wonder is how much he really considered anybody else, including the
Mavericks. We reported earlier this week that James and Bosh were a package
deal and that they would go to the same place, which eventually they did.
