The Mavericks got a solid night from Roddy Beaubois and
strong play from free-agent rookie Omar Samhan, but it wasn’t enough to
produce a victory.
They got overrun in the fourth quarter as the Houston
Rockets took a 87-78 win Saturday night in NBA Summer League action.
The Mavericks fell to 0-2 but were far more competitive than
they were in the opening blowout loss to Denver Friday.
The Mavericks were ahead 62-61 to start the fourth quarter,
but Houston went on a 16-4 streak to grab a 77-66 lead and the Mavericks could
not mount a serious rally.
