Thomas officially let loose

Tim Thomas’ time as a Maverick is over, officially,
after he was waived this afternoon.
 
It’s a sad situation. Thomas is a good dude and he
could help the Mavericks. But his family situation demands that he put his
basketball career to rest. He’s likely to retire, from what I’m
hearing.
 
Either way, the guy had a nice NBA career and made a ton of
money. But money can’t buy health and he’s doing the right thing
staying with his ailing wife.
 
By the way, the afternoon practice has started and the
Mavericks are supposed to be drilling on offense in the second workout of the
day. We’ll give you a rundown when it’s over.
