Chandler improving, but Jet in the hangar today

 
Jason Terry was not at practice Monday.
 
The veteran guard was at the team’s mandatory
merchandise-signing event in the morning, then had a doctor’s
appointment. Team officials did not divulge the nature of the doctor visit. But
it didn’t sound like anybody was too concerned about the situation.
 
On the injury front, Tyson Chandler was able to do some
contact drills and coach Rick Carlisle said the 7-1 center was moving in the
right direction to be able to play Wednesday.
 
Chandler had two stitches near the base of his right thumb
on Wednesday.
 
“We got to get through another day without it tearing
open again,’’ he said.
