Mark Cuban gave his analysis of the Mavericks’ first
10 games before Friday’s contest and came to the conclusion that things
could certainly be worse.
And better, too.
“We got lots of room to improve, lots of
room,’’ he said. “But you want to be 7-3 with lots of room to
improve rather than be 3-7 with lots of room to improve.’’
Cuban also gave a casual reference that Roddy Beaubois could
be back “in a couple of weeks,’’ but then quickly added that
that’s not even a rough estimate or timetable. The team refuses to put
any time line on Beaubois, who is into his fourth month of rehab after left
foot surgery.
But everybody in the organization, not to mention fans, is
looking forward to the second-year guard’s return to the court.
Beaubois said he expects to get his next evaluation next
week and he’ll find out then if he can step up his workout regimen.
