Nowitzki tweets that his knee is fine

Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki used his twitter account Friday to keep fans abreast of the progress concerning his sprained right knee.

Nowitzki has yet to play since injuring his knee this past Monday at Oklahoma City.

"Knee is feelin better,'' Nowitzki said. "Thx for askin. Will be back soon. Tough loss last night. Guys played hard. Happy new year. Be safe tonight. Go mavs.''

The Mavs lost Tuesday to Toronto (84-76) and Thursday to San Antonio (99-93) without Nowitzki, who is listed as day-=o-day. They are now 24-7 going into Saturday's 8 p.m. game at Milwaukee.
