After taking a 4-point lead, the Mavericks allowed Portland to come back late in the first half with the Blazers leading by as many as 6, with the baskets being spread around. With goals and free throws from Dirk Nowitzki and Shawn Marion in the final minute and a half, Dallas takes a slim one-point lead going into the half.
Nowitzki leads all scorers with 12 points. Tyson Chandler still only has 7 points but is up to 9 rebounds. Jason Kidd has yet to score for Dallas but does have 8 assists to his credit. Andre Miller and Nicolas Batum each have nine points for Portland.
