The Mavericks finally opened up a lead on the Blazers in the third quarter, going up by 12 in the final 30 seconds of the quarter. Dirk added 11 of Dallas's 31 points in the quarter and still leads all scorers with 23 points. Jason Terry (16), Shawn Marrion (14), and Tyson Chandler (13) have also scored in double figures. Chandler has also added 13 rebounds.Portland is led by Andre Miller with 16 points.
Free throws continue to be a factor for Dallas with the Mavericks shooting 20 more than the Blazers. The Mavs are 23-of-31 compared to Portland's 6-of-11.
