The Mavericks only led by one point at halftime but a strong second half saw the Mavs lead by as many as 20 points and gave Dallas a 93-82 victory over Portland in Game 5.
Dirk Nowitzki led all scorers with 25 points. Tyson Chandler was a big factor for the Mavericks with 20 rebounds and 14 points. Andre Miller led Portland with 18 points.
The Mavericks take a 3-2 series lead into Game 6 Thursday in Portland.
