Dallas is preparing for about 250,000 people to attend Thursday's victory parade for the NBA champion Mavericks, the city said Tuesday afternoon.
The parade, which will feature all the players as well as owner Mark Cuban, founding owner Don Carter and coach Rick Carlisle, begins at 10 a.m. at Young and Griffth streets, near Dallas City Hall.
It will travel west on Young, north on Houston, west on Continental and north on Victory before ending at Victory Plaza. A special event for ticket-holders only will be held at inside the American Airlines Center at the conclusion of the parade; no information was immediately available about how to get tickets.
DART and the Trinity Railway Express will have expanded service to help alleviate traffic concerns downtown. The TRE will add rail cars when possible to the seven trains arriving at Union Station between 6:38 and 9:26 a.m.

Dallas police suggest following their Facebook and Twitter accounts for the latest information on the parade.
