DALLAS _ Two games in two nights to open the season have resulted in two losses for the Dallas Mavericks.
One night after Miami whacked the Mavs, 105-94, the Denver Nuggets pounded them into submission, 115-93.
Ty Lawson led Denver with 27 points and Dirk Nowitzki paced the Mavs with 20 points. The Nuggets shot 49.4 percent from the field and won the rebound battle, 47-37.
Dallas made 42.1 percent of its shots.
The Mas next play Thursday night at Oklahoma City.
