DALLAS _ Delonte West started at shooting guard alongside Jason Kidd tonight for the Dallas Mavericks.
But it wasn't a good start for one of the Mavs' five new players.
In 11 minutes in the first period against the Denver Nuggets, West was 0-of-4 from the field -- including an airball -- with no points and two assists.
Vince Carter, another Mavs' newcomer, started Sunday's regular season opener against Miami at shooting guard.
