DALLAS _ You can never have too many energy players. Those guys can make or break a team.
Especially an older team with several players whose more magnificient years are behind them.
The Dallas Mavericks had more than their share of energy guys last year in Tyson Chandler, Jason Terry, JJ Barea and Corey Brewer. Now, they're left with just Terry.
Oh, the Mavs did add Sean Williams, who showed in his debut this past Tuesday against Denver by scoring 12 points in 11 minutes, that he can energize a crowd. Especially if he can keep his lunch to himself.
If Williams keeps playing like that, he just may earn himself a few more minutes in the Mavs' rotation.
The type of all-out hustle Williams gave the Mavs isn't taught. It's in your blood, and you've got to want to do that type of necessary work.
Williams doesn't mind doing that type of necessary work. So he deserves some more playing time.
