DALLAS _ This is how dominant the Dallas Mavericks were tonight at American Airlines Center.
The Mavs' bench tallied 68 points. The Sacramento Kings ENTIRE TEAM scored 60 points.
Enough said.
"We just talk about doing our job,'' guard Jason Terry said after the Mavs' 99-60 victory. "When you have three guys that could possibly be All-Stars coming off the bench, you should dominate.
"Our chemistry on the offensive end is not where we want it to be. But defensively if we just compete and put out that extra effort every night on the defensive end we're going to be in a lot of ball games and win our fair share.'
Terry was the ringleader of the bench players, scoring a game-high 21 points on 8-of-13 shooting. He also moved into aolse possession of seventh place on the NBA's all-time three-pointers made list with 1,680 after going 2-of-4 from beyond the arc against the Kings.
"I'm trying to lead by example because we have a lot of young guys on the bench and I need to play at a high level so they can also come up and play at that level,'' Terry said. "It's all about being consistent every night and again doing your job.
"My job is to bring energy off the bench and put up a lot of shots, and hopefully they'll go in.''
