DALLAS -- Before this past Saturday's game at New Orleans, Dirk Nowitzki felt sort of weird.
Nowitzki had already gotten the news that he wasn't going to play for four games, including Saturday's game against the Hornets. His conditioning, and sore right knee, made it easy for the Mavs to shut down their 10-time All-Star.
Still, Nowitzki had this uneasy feeling before the game against the Hornets.
“Just sitting there and I didn't even get dressed before the game was just awkward,'' he said.
“Watching the guys change into their uniforms and me just sitting there with no uniform was just a different experience.
“But it's something that I have to go through to get better and get back to where I want to go.''
