DALLAS _ The Dallas Mavericks sent center Sean Williams down to the D-League earlier this week so he could get some growth.
And, so far, it's working.
In his first game with coach Del Harris’ Texas Legends on Friday, Williams responded with 19 points on 8-of-11 shooting during a 108-93 win over the Austin Toros.
“Del knows what we’re doing here,’’ coach Rick Carlisle said. “I feel like it’s a good opportunity for him to get some looks.’’
In three games with the Mavs recently, Williams averaged 4.7 points and 2.0 rebounds in just 5.7 minutes per games.
