CLEVELAND _ Rookie Kyrie Irving poured in 20 points and the Cleveland Cavaliers upset the defending world champion Dallas Mavericks, 91-88, Saturday night at Quicken Loans Arena.
The Mavs (14-11) have now dropped three straight games.
Dirk Nowitzki led the Mavs with 24 points and also passed Elgin Baylor to become the NBA's No. 22 all-time leading scorer. Also for the Mavs, Jason Terry scored 17 points, Brandan Wright had 11, Delonte West scored 11 and Brendan Haywood added 10.
