PHILADELPHIA _ The Dallas Mavericks won their season-high sixth straight game in a row with an 82-75 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night at Wells Fargo Center.
Dirk Nowitzki led the charge for the Mavs as he tallied 24 of his 28 points in the second half.
The Mavs (20-11) became the seventh NBA team to win at least 20 games this season. Dallas, which plays at New York on Sunday, used a blistering 14-0 run in the third period and a suffocating defense to stymie the Sixers.
The Mavs, which trailed by as much as 15 points in the second quarter, held the Sixers to just eight points in the third period. In addition to Nowitzki, the Mavs got 12 points from Dominique Jones, 10 from Vince Carter, and nine points, nine rebounds and eight assists from Jason Kidd.
