ORLANDO -- A Gasol is back in the NBA All-Star game. But this time it's not Pau.
For the first time in his career, Marc Gasol was chosen to the All-Star game. The Memphis Grizzlies' center will be playing for the Western Conference when they face the Eastern Conference on Sunday night at the Amway Center.
But Marc Gasol's initial All-Star appearance is bittersweet since his brother, Pau Gasol, won't be playing in the game with him. Pau Gasol was an All-Star in 2006, '09, '10 and last year, but failed to make it this year.
"It's definitely bittersweet,'' Marc Gasol said. "I wish Pau was here.
"He knows that, because that would have made it very special. But you know, now it's a different time. I'm looking to enjoy every moment of it.''
