DALLAS -- Jason Kidd didn't get another game off like he did last Saturday at Golden State.
However, because of Rodrigue Beaubois, at least Kidd was able sit the entire fourth quarter of the Dallas Mavericks' 107-98 win over the Washington Wizards. In one of his best performances of the season, Beaubois scored 19 points on 8-of-14 shooting, and added six rebounds, four assists, two steals and one blocked shot against the Wizards in 28 minutes of work.
Beaubois' solid showing had everyone wearing Mavs blue all giddy.
"Beaubois' game tonight from start to finish -- you look at offense, defense, decision-making -- it's one of his best games he's had here,'' coach Rick Carlisle said. "(It was) really significant because down the stretch I wanted to keep Kidd out if possible and have Roddy and (Jason Terry) finish.
"He did a great job, so there's some real growth there.''
Beaubois had seven points, four rebounds and two assists in the fourth quarter when he kept Kidd -- he played 23 minutes -- chained to the bench.
"I made shots, I made layups,'' Beaubois said. "I just like to have a great season, I just like to play my game.
"I did some good stuff, but I think I'm just working to get better.''
