DALLAS -- After Friday's game against the Golden State Warriors went back-n-forth for most the night, the Dallas Mavericks finally put an end to the mystery.
Utilizing its superior talent, the Mavs turned the temperature in the fourth quarter and raced past the Warriors, 104-94, at American Airlines Center.
In the final regular season home game of the year, the Mavs got 19 points and nine rebounds from Vince Carter, a season-hgih 17 points and seven rebounds from Brandan Wright, 16 points apiece from Dirk Nowitzki and Delonte West, and 14 points and eight rebounds from Shawn Marion in stretching their record to 36-28.
The Mavs were clinging to a 71-70 lead late in the third period before using a 15-5 run and assume an 86-75 lead early in the fourth quarter. Carter scored eight of his points during that game-deciding surge.
Dallas ends the regular season on the road -- Saturday in Chicago and Thursday in Atlanta -- before starting the playoffs on either Apr. 28 or Apr. 29.
