DALLAS -- Shawn Marion was one of the top defenders in the NBA this season. Most NBA coaches would probably agree with that summation.
At least that's what a lot of folks thought.
Apparently, the coaches who voted for such accomplishments didn't think very highly of the Dallas Mavericks forward after all.
The NBA released its all-defensive team today, and Marion didn't make either the first or second team. In fact, Marion finished only ninth among all forwards with just three votes.
For a player who guarded everyone from Kevin Durant to Chris Paul, the Mavs certainly expected Marion to make the all-defensive first or second team.
