DALLAS -- Dirk Nowitzki picked up an award today that he's very familiar with when the NBA named him to their third-team all-NBA squad.
It's the 12th year in a row Nowitzki was been named first-, second- or third-team all-NBA, and he was more than pleased about the achievement
"It's an honor to make the all-NBA team again,'' Nowitzki said. "To be named among the best players in this league is always still very humbling for me. I also appreciate the opportunity to represent my teammates and the Mavericks organization on this list.''
Nowitzki finished eighth in the NBA in scoring this season at 21.6 points per game, while averaging 6.8 rebounds. He also averaged 26.8 points and 6.3 rebounds during the Mavs' first-round playoff series against Oklahoma City.
