DALLAS -– Jason Kidd played a major role in convincing Vince Carter to sign a free agent contract with the Dallas Mavericks last year.
But less than a year later, Kidd surprisingly left Carter and the Mavs to sign a three-year, $9 million free agent contract with the New York Knicks. So, is Carter miffed?
“That’s the business, that’s the way it goes,’’ Carter said after Sunday’s practice at American Airlines Center. “Changes are made every year, every summer, during the season.’’
Carter and Kidd were New Jersey Nets teammates from 2004-’07 before hooking up again last year with the Mavs.
