Mavs extend the contract of team physician

DALLAS -- Dr. T.O. Souryal, the long-time team physician for the Dallas Mavericks, has been given a contract extension.

Now in his 20th season with the Mavs, Dr. Souryal signed a five-year extension, the Mavs announced today.

"I am grateful to (owner) Mark Cuban and the entire Mavericks organization for giving me this
opportunity to work with such an elite organization,” Souryal said. “The cutting edge technology that we use with the Mavericks players is a benefit to all my patients.”
