DALLAS -- The Dallas Mavericks may have released Brendan Haywood this past summer. But he's still more than willing to offer his services to help the team out in any way he can.
And one way Haywood believes he can help is to assist the newest member of the Mavs, center Eddy Curry. The Mavs acquired late Thursday, and he went through shootaround Friday morning before starting later that night against Haywood and the Charlotte Bobcats.
If Curry is having trouble with coach Rick CarIisle's lengthy playbook, Haywood said: "I still remember the plays. I can help Eddy and walk him through the plays.
"Rick's got that big playbook that bigger than Webster’s dictionary.''

Brenda is going to help Curry? Sure he is. Haywood was a bust for the Mavs. I hope the Mavs are smart enough NOT to let Haywood infect Curry with his bad play under the basket. Curry already looks better in just this one preseason game against the Bobcats than Haywood looked the entire 2 years he was with the Mavs. Go away Mr. McStatue.
