Is there something "floating'' in Nowitzki's right knee?

 DALLAS -- Dirk Nowitzki isn't sure why his right knee has been swelling up on him lately.

 "Maybe there’s something floating in there that shouldn’t be floating in there,'' the Dallas Mavericks' forward said after Friday's practice. "We’ll only know that for sure if we do a scope, but as for now, we haven’t.

"I’m just going to keep working this weekend and see how the knee responds.''

Nowitzki's swollen knee forced him to miss this past Tuesday's preseason game against FC Barcelona Regal.
