Dallas Mavericks' fans just received some good news.
The Mavs' preseason game against FC Barcelona Regal will be shown live in the Fort Worth/Dallas area at 2 p.m. today on NBA-TV, according to a very reliable source. The game will be played in Barcelona, Spain.
The live telecast is a bonus for Mavs' fans, who were extremely upset and didn't understand why last Saturday's preseason opener in Berlin, Germany -- which the rest of the United States saw live on NBA-TV -- wasn't shown live in the Fort Worth/Dallas area. The Mavs won that game, 89-84.
But the game was only shown in the Fort Worth/Dallas market on tape delay Saturday night on TXA Channel 21. That was unacceptable in this day and age, as far as the Mavs' fans were concerned.
After today's game against FC Barcelona Regal, the Mavs will leave Spain at 1 p.m. Wednesday. With the seven-hour time change, the Mavs will arrive in Dallas at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
