DALLAS -- After spending a week in Europe, the Dallas Mavericks are back in the states and will take today off to rest their weary bodies before getting back on the practice court Friday.
The Mavs arrived at Love Field on Wednesday night -- a week after they left Dallas to flight to Berlin, Germany to play their preseason opener against Alba Berlin, which they won 89-84. From there, the Mavs flew to Barcelona, Spain, where they dropped a 99-85 decision to FC Barcelona Regal this past Tuesday in a game forward Dirk Nowitzki sat out with a sore and swollen right knee.
The Mavs will host their intra-squad game at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at American Airlines Center. They also will play a pair of preseason games at home next week -- Monday against the Houston Rockets and Wednesday against the Phoenix Suns.
