DALLAS – That Dallas Mavericks squad that cut an 18-point deficit in the fourth quarter to six points Tuesday against FC Barcelona Regal is the kind of team fans can expect to see this season.
The Mavs went on to lose the game, 99-85. But coach Rick Carlisle was pleased with the aggressive defense that enabled his team to get back into the game.
“The fourth quarter group that got us back in the game did a great job,’’ Carlisle said. “That's the kind of team we're going to have to be, scrappy, gritty.
“Our perimeter guys are going to have to be like glue on the opponents. Our big guys are going to have to be real active.’’
