Chris Kaman had 15 points and 10 rebounds, but it wasn't nearly enough to help the Dallas Mavericks overcome the loss of Dirk Nowitzki.
With Nowitzki sitting out today's preseason game with a sore right knee, FC Barcelona Regal overpowered the Mavs, 99-85, in Barcelona, Spain.
Besides Kaman, the Mavs got 14 points and four assists from Darren Collison, and 10 points from Elton Brand, who started at Nowitzki's power forward position.
The Mavs were sloppy for most of the game. They turned the ball over 13 times, shot just 40 percent from the field (32-of-80) and converted only 18-of-32 free throws.
FC Barcelona Regal also battered the Mavs on the boards, winning the rebounding battle, 52-40.
The Mavs, 1-1 on this European trip, will return home Wednesday and host the Houston Rockets on Monday at American Airlines Center.
