West is back with the Mavericks

DALLAS -- Delonte West has been cleared to return to the Dallas Mavericks immediately, according to coach Rick Carlisle.

West met Tuesday afternoon with Carlisle and general manager Donnie Nelson. The Mavs' brass were trying to find out why West had an outburst in the locker room after Dallas' 123-104 triumph over the Houston Rockets on Monday night at American Airlines Center.

Following that incident, Carlisle suspended West for "conduct detrimental to the team.'' 

Carlisle and Nelson apparently heard what they wanted to hear from West, and the sides have decided to put the matter behind them. West also will be in uniform for tomorrow's home game against the Phoenix Suns.

"Delonte West will be back with the team tomorrow for shootaround,'' Carlisle said, "and be available for tomorrow night's game vs. Phoenix.''
