DALLAS – Delonte West tips his hat to the NBA for having the Dallas Mavericks play a preseason game in Germany.
Mavs star Dirk Nowitzki is the Germany. And by all accounts, Saturday’s preseason game in Berlin between the Mavs and Alba Berlin is the NBA’s way of paying homage to Nowitzki.
“It’s a great thing that the NBA is doing,’’ West said. “The game is so global what the NBA is doing as far as getting teams out there and allowing other countries to experience the NBA experience.
“Just bringing Dirk back home, that shows that the NBA gets it and the NBA cares about doing the right thing and not just touching (fans) locally. We are touching (fans) around the world.’’
