DALLAS -– Because of what Jason Kidd gave the Dallas Mavericks’ organization, coach Rick Carlisle
say no way should anyone boo him tonight when the New York Knicks come to town.
“He’ll get a great reception,’’ Carlisle said of Kidd. “I know (Steve) Nash is a great player, but Kidd delivered a championship here.
“So for me he’s the greatest point guard ever in Mavs history. If you’ve been that good you’ll get a great reception.’’
Asked if he thought Kidd’s jersey will be retired one day in the American Airlines Center rafters, Carlisle said: “I do. Yes. I do.’’
Kidd helped the Mavs win the 2011 NBA title.
