DALLAS -- OJ Mayo scored 32 points to lead the Dallas Mavericks to a 114-91 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday night at American Airlines Center.
Mayo, who turned 25 Monday, hit 12-of-18 shots, including 6-of-8 three-pointers as the Mavs improved to 3-1 on the young season. The loss dropped Portland to 2-2.
Besides Mayo, the Mavs received 14 points and 13 assists from Darren Collison, 16 points and six rebounds from Chris Kaman, and 10 points from Brandan Wright.
LaMarcus Aldridge and Wesley Matthews led the Blazers with 20 points apiece, Nicolas Batum tallied 14, and rookie point guard Damian Lillard had 13 points on just 2-of-13 shooting.
The Mavs shot 61.5 percent from the field against the Blazers, one gajme after shooting 61.3 percent last Saturday against Charlotte. They also converted 10-of-20 baskets from three-point range.
