DALLAS -- The Dallas Mavericks were short-handed Wednesday night, but still had enough power to defeat the Toronto Raptors, 109-104, at American Airlines Center.
OJ Mayo led the Mavs with 22 points, Chris Kaman had 22 points and eight rebounds, Vince Carter tallied 17, Brandan Wright collected 12 points and seven boards and Darren Collison added 15 points.
Andrea Bargnani paced the Raptors with 25 points and DeMar DeRozan added 24 points.
The Mavs played without Dirk Nowitzki (knee), Shawn Marion (knee), Rodrigue Beaubois (ankle) and Elton rand, whose wife was slated to give birth to a baby Wednesday night.
Dallas is now 4-1 for the first time since the 2007-'08 season and will now embark on a two-game road trip to play the New York Knicks (Frida) and Charlotte Bobcats (Saturday).
