DALLAS -- In honor of Veteran's Day, the Dallas Mavericks will host Military Appreciation Night tonight at 7:30 when they entertain the Minnesota Timberwolves at American Airlines Center.
The Mavs are inviting members of the military to present a valid military ID badge at the
AAC North Box Office to receive a ticket to the game for half price -- in selected price ranges.
Also, the Mavs will host two other Military Appreciation Nights on Dec. 1 and Feb. 20.
In addition, members of the United States Navy will take part in a re-enlistment ceremony during halftime of tonight's game. And after the game, rookie center Bernard James will meet with members of the military including the Captain, Chief of the Boat and Senior and Junior Sailors of the year from the USS Dallas Nuclear Submarine, along with the commanding officer, Chief Petty Officer and Sailors of the Year from USCG Unit Houston/Galveston and members of the Navy who took part in the halftime re-enlistment ceremony.
James, 27, served six years in the Air Force while stationed in Iraq, Afghanistan and Qatar.
