PHILADELPHIA -- Jae Crowder missed a three-pointer at the buzzer and the Philadelphia 7ers held on for a 100-98 win over the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday night at Wells Fargo Center.
Chris Kaman, back in the starting lineup after not starting last Saturday against the Los Angeles Lakers, led the Mavs with 20 points.
The Mavs (7-8) had a chance to tie the score when they were down 100-98 with 2.2 seconds left. But OJ Mayo missed the first of two free throws, then had to miss the second one on purpose, which set the stage for the possible game-winning three-pointer by Crowder.
Other than Kaman, Shawn Marion and Elton Brand each scored 17 points for the Mavs.
