DALLAS -- Vince Carter was playing Saturday night like he was 25 instead of 35.
Carter brought back days of Vinsanity when he drove and skied and dunked over Charlotte's Bismack Biyombo during the Dallas Mavericks' 126-99 victory over the Bobcats at American Airlines Center.
"I think we moved the ball, defended and rebounded,'' said Carter, who had 18 points in only 22 minutes. "I think we did a better job of competing on the glass.
"I try to just bring the energy as well. Normally I talk and help (the young players) feel comfortable on the court in any situation. So I was just trying to be aggressive and play as hard as them.''
Carter was 7-of-12 from the field, including 4-of-8 from three-point territory, and also dragged down six rebounds.
"Vince is locked and loaded when he comes off the bench, and guys know where to find him,'' coach Rick Carlisle said. "His shot-making was there tonight -- he made some good plays on the boards -- and he's going to be one of our main play-making guys when it counts.
"He's going to be a very important guy for us.''
