SAN ANTONIO –- Shawn Marion didn’t mince words Sunday when he gave his opinion on the Dallas
Mavericks’ horrific 129-91 loss to the San Antonio Spurs.
“We got a (butt) whipping,’’ Marion said defiantly. “It was a good old fashion (butt) whipping.
“Aint no need to go into a brief definition of what that means. If you know what a (butt) whipping is, you know a (butt) whipping.’’
That 38-point butt whipping is why the Mavs will have practice Monday morning.
“I’d love to give everybody two days off, but it ain’t happening,’’ coach Rick Carlisle said. “It ain’t happening.’’
And Marion acknowledged that it shouldn’t happen.
“We’re going to have our (butts) in here (Monday) morning working,’’ Marion said. “And we’ve just got to stay positive and just keep trying to make each other better.''
