MINNEAPOLIS, MN -- The Dallas Mavericks completed their worst road trip of the season so far after they lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves 114-106 in overtime Saturday night at the Target Center.
With the setback, the Mavs dropped to 11-13 on the season, including getting swept 3-0 on this road trip.
The Mavs open a two-game home stand Tuesday against the Philadelphia 76ers.
OJ Mayo tallied 20 points for the Mavs, who also got 15 points from Elton Brand, and Shawn Marion had 14 points and 10 boards.
In addition, both Derek Fisher and Vince Carter fouled out in the fourth quarter for the Mavs. Fisher finished with 20 points and four assists, and Carter had nine points and four assists.
Nikola Pekovic led the Wolves with 21 points and nine rebounds, Alexey Shved scored 18, and Derrick Williams had 16.
Also, this was the first game of the season for Wolves guard Ricky Rubio, who had knee surgery on Mar. 21. Rubio dazzled the crowd while finishing with eight points and nine assists.
