OKLAHOMA CITY -- Kevin Durant tallied 40 points to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 111-105 overtime victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday night at Chesapeake Energy Arena.
The Mavs are now 12-17 and five games under .500 for the first time since the 2008-'09 season.
Darren Collison started and appeared to have locked up the starting point guard spot for the Mavs. He finished with a season-high 32 points.
Also for the Mavs, Chris Kaman had 17 points, Shawn Marion finished withn 14 points, nine rebounds and seven assists, and Dirk Nowitzki played 26 minutes and collected nine ppints on 3-of-11 shooting.
Serge Ibala aided Durant with 19 points and 17 rebounds as the Thunder (22-6) snapped a two-game losing streak.
Collison hit a wild three-pointer at the buzzer to send the game into overtime tied at 98-98.
