Who owns LA? The Lakers or Clippers?

DALLAS -- Who owns Los Angeles? The Lakers or the Clippers?

Since the Clippers have shown a pretty nice pulse in recent years, that question keeps popping. It's a question that was posed to Dallas Mavericks point guard Derek Fisher, who won five NBA championships with the Lakers.

"That's a good question,'' Fisher said after Tuesday's practice at American Airlines Center. "It seems like it could be changing a little bit now.

"But the history and the success that the Lakers have laid out for decades, I think it's going to take decades to supplant that. So I think the Lakers are safe for now.''

As of now, the Clippers lead the Pacific Division with an 11-6 record, while the Lakers (8-10) wouldn't even make the playoffs if the postseason started today.
